  1. Anyone have anything mounted in the upper mounts on the Octo Tower? Flag Holders, Board racks (where would I find a set?) or something else? I’d post a pic but I don’t know how to resize them on my phone.
  2. 2022 ZS232 Updates?

What's the word on here about a ZS25? I had a buddy back east tell me when he bought his Ri that there were talks about a 25 footer.

Love that all white with the Chromex letting!!! These boats are very capable. Here's the goofy wave with two people in the boat and 500 in lead on the surf side. We're still learning cause we to old to wakeboard. https://www.facebook.com/559721169/videos/pcb.10159193483196170/10159193484076170
  4. Congratulations on the purchase Hudzon! If I went brand new it would have also been all white with the Black Chromex Supreme logo and camel/black interior. Probably the brown Gatorstep. Post a pic once you get it! There are a few people here in Washington that I know of that run theirs in the salt. Zero issues that I'm aware of. Same saltwater package on two of them and the other runs without. I don't know if his has zinc plates on it or not.
  5. I'm finally giving in to the fact that I'm too old to be getting inverted on a wakeboard. As much as I love it, it's too much risk for me to be out of work cause I hurt myself. I evened out the lead on the ZS and the wakeboard wake is pretty sweet though. I feel like this boat was super easy to dial but I have read that people add weight because the wake can be weight finicky without. I didn't want to get out and decide later I wanted to add weight so I did it right out of the gate. I love it!
  6. I picked up my ZS232 early December and have had it out three times so far. I bought used (2019). I came from an 02 Calabria Pro V so from my perspective, everything about this boat is awesome! When I was looking, I was looking at the Axis A22, MB F22, B52, the S238 and then the ZS (both). I've demoed all the boats mentioned and several others. Like Troy R has said, this boat has plenty of ballast right out of the box. The other boats I've looked at have great wakes as well but I was stuck on the look of the ZS. I've surrendered to the fact that I won't be wakeboarding anymore and so for me the surf wave on this boat was the best without anything added. I added another 500# in lead bags becase of crew size when surfing. Typically theres three of us. When it's family and friends I can always offset the lead bags by not filling the ballast full. Awesome boats for sure!! Good luck!! Here's a vid of our third outing.

I hear you. This year and last year have been pretty f#cked. I did have one buddy threaten to buy a suit and actually did. Now he's in the market for an older wake boat. He's looking at an 09 Supreme V232 this weekend. Supposed to rain but he said he's going to look anyway.

Are you shitting me?!?!? 90's??? Wow dude! That's awesome! I swear my wife and I are moving to Az when I retire in 8 years. I bet I'd use my boat 9 months a year!

I'm not the author of the video either. That MF is a lil nuts! Him and his daughter! I was the one that sucks (drysuit).

New to the board. I've talked to Troy R a bit. Just wanted to share what I've done the last three times I've had mine out. I bought the boat early Dec. and got it out in Feb and Mar. My set up is as follows and it changes with people weight. 100% on all ballast, 500 in lead midship on the surf side, stinger at 100 (this is with 2.5 people on the surf side and the driver) 70 on the quick surf. This was for the regular side surf wake. Water temp was 50 air was 60.

Hey everyone. I just picked up my "new to me" 2019 ZS232 from the guys at NWBS in Portland Oregon. Boat is winterized and I want to learn what it takes to winterize/dewinterize. I'm not waiting for summer. I have a drysuit from my last boat (02 Pro V) and doing the winter rides. Is there a link to the steps somewhere or anyone have a good procedure they use? I tried the search bar but didn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

The only reason I do lead is habit. Back in the day when I had my last boat and with my buddy's Tige, we always ran weight thinking it would help with inverted tricks. It did but it also contributed to me blowin out my knee. And now with these surf boats having all this weight from the factory I figured whats a little more? There seems to be a lot of talk about the ZS being a weight sensitive boat and that the added weight helps to offset that. I don't really know yet. I'm hoping to get out Wednesday. I took the day off so I can take the wife to an appointment. So I'm hoping before the appointment to get out. I'll actually pay attention to setup this time and report back. As far as the cold water thing goes, I'm good on that. Maybe as I transition out of the drysuit into boardshorts. That will be my exposure period. Thanks for the good words on the boat! I'm in love with it so far. I've got the 409 motor and it seemed to do fine. I'm excited for summer Troy I didn't intentionally use the lead to offset people weight but in the video where my brother is surfingwas used to teoing with the goofy side, everyone but me is on the port side. So it worked in that scenario. As far as towing with the weight goes, I guess I don't see 500 as a lot of weight considering how these boats are built. I wouldn't tow with more than that but I fee like 500 is ok. When I'm done and ready to hang it up I just evenly distribute the weight to both driver and passenger sides. Almost right in line with the tower. Basically right over the axles where the the boat bears fully on the trailer bunks. Oh and by the way, you were asking about the two boards I got. They both are surf style boards (Doomswell Bandwagon 4'-8" and Soulcraft Keenan Flegel 4'-6") that track like a MF! I would say I fall in between a novice and intermediate but these boards are fast and track very tight. I feel like I would have to ollie the boards to get the rear fins to cut loose. Very responsive boards and I hope I can grow into them. The jury is still out on them. I'm gonna have to let you know after a couple times out.

Troy to be honest, we changed it several times but the baseline setup was 500 in lead bags on the surf side, 100% factory ballast 70% on the surf tab and I beleive it was 50%-70% on the stinger. There three of us at about 180-190lbs a 13 yr old that I dunno was probably 90-100lbs(?) and the dude in the red suit who is 6'-4" probably 270-290 ( I don't even know). The dude in the wetsuit does cold water immersion because of the health benefits. But yeah he crazy! Waiting for some dry weather to get it out again and then I'll pay better attention to the setup. I wasn't eing a "Weight Nazi' either, people were sitting wherever and it still threw a nasty wake! I was just excited to get her out. I want to see if I can play with the lead and make the wake longer. Like maybe put a little more nose weight in to maximize the range of the stinger. We'll see.

@Troy I got the boat out finally!! Got her out last Saturday. We were going to play with the settings and go with recommended settings from others that have posted on the FB page but when we got out there we were like F#ck it!! Let's ride!! Water was 44 degrees with air temps around 48. So it was a lil chilly.
  16. Troy I think I will just do a flag pole holder. I wish I knew how to weld aluminum but I don't. So I'll just weld some schedule 40 pipe to a plate with enough standoff to clear the tower. Then drill the four bolt holes and just add the bolts to the tower holes. I can't remember but I think they're threaded. I'll see what I can dig up for material at work then fab something up. I wish you didn't have to shrink pictures up so much to post them em. Otherwise I'd post the results.
  17. Troy I also reached out to Skylon. Nothin. I did reach out to wakemakers who also carry Skylon and they didn’t have a whole lot to say except that they don’t have the fixed rack in stock but that would need the adapter that would set the stand-off from the tower. Maybe I’ll just do a flagpole holder.
  18. I wouldn’t mind a flag holder but I think that’s something that I would be able to fab in my garage. It wouldn’t be aluminum but I could paint it white and it would look fine.

That's awesome that your son is even into any of it. My two kids now 23 and 18 never got into either. 1 bad experience on a tube when they were ittle ruined it. I had this huge tube that when you were going slow it would sometimes try to dive the front underwater. Well that happened and I stopped but they had already slid into the water over the front of the tube and then the tube went over them. So I had to run and dive off the back of the boat to retreieve them from under the tube. So since then I couldn't get them on a board. In fact my son (23) doesn't even care to be on the water. It sucks. But hey, love them for who they are and not for who you want them to be right?

I've got a buddy that I always see on the lake that is good friends with Jeff from Soulcraft and that's why I bought one. The dude has probably 17 of em. He and his wife are actually gonna be in Arizona next week. They've got a friend that has a boat that they're going out in to surf while they're there. He and his wife do a lot of the comps. I believe he's on here too but probably uses the FB page more.

That would be cool to take a look at how the boats are built. I know Supreme has bought another place back east somewhere and Centurion will stay in the Merced plant. I'll let you know for sure. I'm actually new to surfing in a sense. I was more into wakeboarding for quite a while but an invert left me with a blown ear drum and now I'm in hearing aids full time. I do surf and am ok at it (starting to spin 3's but not consistent) but I was more into wakeboarding. The only decent board I had was a skim style Inland Surfer Black Pearl. So I figured that now that I have a purpose built surf boat I might as well get a couple surf style boards to help me progress. I just wish I would have gotten into wakesports a lot younger. April I'll be 48. When you don't ride away from an invert it hurts a bit more....

I used to be a military brat. My dad was Navy so I've been all over but did live in California for about 10 years. Some in San Fran area (Mare Island) then San Diego. Moved to Washington in 89 and have been here ever since.

When I had my last boat (02 Pro V) I would tow to the lake when there was snow on the ground. We all have drysuits. And that's likely what I'll be in until it gets warm enough to switch to a 3/2 wetsuit. I picked up a used Soulcraft Kenen Flegel board and a Doomswell Bandwagon. I'm chompin at the bit now!!! Went to home depot today to buy the parts for the fake a lake and when I got all the pieces together it was over the price on Amazon so I just ordered the Amazon one. Covid has everything jacked up!! Prices have gone up with everything!!

Agreed. That's what I used on my last boat. Easy. Sure wish this "freeze" would hurry up and start/finish. I want to get her out!!!
