1st day review of the Centurion RI257 This is truly an amazing boat overall. The interior is very well thought after. I was very impressed with all details. The limo lights and the tower lightning is the best I have seen! The dash technology was intimidating at first. However, once you start using it, it was very easy to understand. The cockpit visibility was great. It is such a great looking boat with comfortable seating. We loved the compartments for the coolers, for easy access to all. In regards to navigation, the boat was very easy to navigate. It was very smooth and stable. Our lake tends to be windy at times, but the RI257 remained smooth and easy to navigate through the choppy waters. The PCM 450 has plenty of power even with heavy load. The transmission is well geared. The boat has fast acceleration. I loved the quick launch feature. This makes the boat on plane very fast, and the surf wave came instantly. In regards to the wave, I was in heaven. The surf wave was the longest I’ve ever been on. The wave was firm which allowed the riders to do tricks much easier. Pros: -quality surf wave -adjustment to the wave -power and transmission -stereo and light setup -very stable boat in choppy water -Ram fill -Cats system -limo light -great storage Cons: -the accelerator handle is to close too the right side panel. This did not allow me to have my handle fully around it. I believe that it would need to be pushed out a little more, or create an indentation on the panel. -bimini top need to be longer for such a big boat -stereo volume should be on the dash or easier access than under the accelerator Overall amazing boat a must try.

Great review. Great looking boat. In regards to your Cons list....... there is actually a larger Bimini available. It is made by Sewlong and is called the FCTv3. It is massive. @Bawshogg and @Darkside (along with others on here) have it. I've heard nothing but good things. I know there are a few different ways to go about getting one. Not sure which way is the least expensive. Here is the link... http://sewlong.com/page/centurion

Wouldn't this be a better activity for a truck stop? Or gas station bathroom?

We have seen a lot of new members in 2017, which is great! For the members that might not know, only two of us run and manage the community. We both have demanding full time jobs. We spend countless hours of our limited free time maintaining the site server, software, support, upgrades in general managing the community and that is just a part of what else goes on in the background. This year was a real under taking with the site upgrade that moved us to a completely new software version. While it may look relatively the same when using the site just about everything changed in the background and we were not expecting the learning curve. While figuring things out we still have a few more major things to do when time permits and we appreciate everyone patience. Not here to complain we do it because, we enjoy it, we get to meet new people that turn into lifelong friends and we always have something in common with everyone, our passion for spending time with family and friends on the water in our boats. We built the CenturionCrew.Com community which was launched over nine years ago. Life and priorities change over 9 years and sometimes managing the site can be a burden. Like the site going down while on a long needed vacation and trying to get it back online with cell phone with limited signal or spending an entire weekend instead of a few hours upgrading the site software because, of some unforeseen issues with incompatible software versions, server upgrades, etc. In nine years the community has grown to over 8,000 members currently, with new members joining on a daily basis. Out of the 8,000 plus members, only 70 of them are currently Supporting Members. Supporting memberships are what support the site/community. Considering the amount of time/hours we spend running and maintaining the site compared to the rate of return, most would wonder why we do it. Since the beginning we have said, as long as the financial burden does not fall solely on us we will continue to run, maintain and grow the community. This year there has been talk about hosting images, bandwidth, file size among other issues. At the end of the day becoming a Supporting Member solves all of the issues. It is $30 a year, $2.50 a month, $.08 a day to have unlimited bandwidth with the only restriction being the size of the image. The images just need to be resized and we believe we have automated the process with the most recent upgrade. The ironic thing is, so many members of this site talk about how much they get from it. Yet it seems they feel it is somehow not their responsibility to help support the very thing that brings them the advice they are looking for, friends from far and near they would have never met otherwise, the sense of pride from ownership of their Centurion/Supreme Boat and the spirit of sharing it with fellow boat owners within the community. Those that have been in the community for a while know we very seldom say anything about memberships or supporting the site. This is a community, we built it, launched it, maintain it, we never wanted to have to ask for members to support it, we just assumed that it would happen. Considering the fact we still put our person funds into the site, plus our free time, it is frustrating having to actually ask members of the community to support it. We need more members supporting the community they enjoy visiting on a reqular basis. Please consider purchasing one of the memberships outlined below. For those members that continue to support the community yearly we could not have done it without you. Thanks for helping to make the community what it is today! Be sure to share your thoughts on supporting the community and how the CenturionCrew.Com and SupremeCrew.Com community has help you through the years. Regards, Ken and Andrea

No it should be fine. The concern comes when it over heats but that little of time don't worry

Agree, the '16 foam on the bolster is actually a heavier density than the '17. Fun fact.

Great point. I hate not having that control. That is a hefty purchase, but it's a small drop for peace of mind and control.

My guess is you have bad batteries, or something is not hooked up correctly to batteries

So it looks like it was a software thing. Dealer checked everything out re-loaded the software and we took it out in the Lake Folsom and everything worked just fine. I'm glad it was an easy fix and I even got to do some sunset surfing!

Listed, 2012 SV 233 Port side: Both QF 100% P PnP 100% P Pro 100% 90# lead in rear port and rear stb lockers No cats on our boat Biggest dude in the ballast boy seat. No bow weight. 11.2 - 11.4 mph Extra bodies or extra weight means a bigger wave, but at 250# I can surf just fine without adding any more weight than mentioned. We have started using our suck gate more often when we need to switch back and forth to goofy. Longer wave, lots of push, not as steep, but definitely lots of fun to surf. Two different style waves, but both are enjoyable.

I've had a couple of instances where SxS software has worked fine, than randomly a glitch comes about. I for sure wouldn't rule out software. Unfortunately, the SxS software seems to be the biggest flaw with these boats.

well just an update to those who helped out, I added a 650lb fatsac to the arsenal and put it on the floor at the back seat, used both 400 lb locker bags and all 900lbs factory ballast and a nautcurl, 4th time out surfing and was able to let go of the rope and surf for as long as I could stand it! I think im going to fill the front bag half full next time to try and make the wave a bit taller. other than that happy with the setup now. thanks again everyone for the guidance.

Wow. Hope the marina had good insurance. That's yet another reason that I don't want anyone touching my boat. Not always possible

I litterly just picked up my 2017 RI217, went to the lake broke it in..hit fill.. messed with the center tab..jumped in the water and surfed.. the wave was amazing.. super long, tons of push, nice curl. Im sure we can get it even better with some tweaking but for out of the box.. wow! We had 3 adults and one child in the boat. We also came from a Malibu with SG. No looking back or regrets. Hope that helps.
