They're usually off our lake by 8 or 9am, it gets crowded in the late morning/afternoon hours, so I think they try to avoid that. Also most of them stick to no-wake zones. We did have a couple of them tie up to our dock to fish under it (apparently our house is a marked stop on the competition maps). So I rigged up bluetooth to my boathouse receiver so I can play music for them from the house... Apparently they don't like gangsta rap at 8am as much as I do.

I find it helps if you roll by fishing from your surfboard. It shows that you are trying to embrace thier sport as well.

We have seen a lot of new members in 2017, which is great! For the members that might not know, only two of us run and manage the community. We both have demanding full time jobs. We spend countless hours of our limited free time maintaining the site server, software, support, upgrades in general managing the community and that is just a part of what else goes on in the background. This year was a real under taking with the site upgrade that moved us to a completely new software version. While it may look relatively the same when using the site just about everything changed in the background and we were not expecting the learning curve. While figuring things out we still have a few more major things to do when time permits and we appreciate everyone patience. Not here to complain we do it because, we enjoy it, we get to meet new people that turn into lifelong friends and we always have something in common with everyone, our passion for spending time with family and friends on the water in our boats. We built the CenturionCrew.Com community which was launched over nine years ago. Life and priorities change over 9 years and sometimes managing the site can be a burden. Like the site going down while on a long needed vacation and trying to get it back online with cell phone with limited signal or spending an entire weekend instead of a few hours upgrading the site software because, of some unforeseen issues with incompatible software versions, server upgrades, etc. In nine years the community has grown to over 8,000 members currently, with new members joining on a daily basis. Out of the 8,000 plus members, only 70 of them are currently Supporting Members. Supporting memberships are what support the site/community. Considering the amount of time/hours we spend running and maintaining the site compared to the rate of return, most would wonder why we do it. Since the beginning we have said, as long as the financial burden does not fall solely on us we will continue to run, maintain and grow the community. This year there has been talk about hosting images, bandwidth, file size among other issues. At the end of the day becoming a Supporting Member solves all of the issues. It is $30 a year, $2.50 a month, $.08 a day to have unlimited bandwidth with the only restriction being the size of the image. The images just need to be resized and we believe we have automated the process with the most recent upgrade. The ironic thing is, so many members of this site talk about how much they get from it. Yet it seems they feel it is somehow not their responsibility to help support the very thing that brings them the advice they are looking for, friends from far and near they would have never met otherwise, the sense of pride from ownership of their Centurion/Supreme Boat and the spirit of sharing it with fellow boat owners within the community. Those that have been in the community for a while know we very seldom say anything about memberships or supporting the site. This is a community, we built it, launched it, maintain it, we never wanted to have to ask for members to support it, we just assumed that it would happen. Considering the fact we still put our person funds into the site, plus our free time, it is frustrating having to actually ask members of the community to support it. We need more members supporting the community they enjoy visiting on a reqular basis. Please consider purchasing one of the memberships outlined below. For those members that continue to support the community yearly we could not have done it without you. Thanks for helping to make the community what it is today! Be sure to share your thoughts on supporting the community and how the CenturionCrew.Com and SupremeCrew.Com community has help you through the years. Regards, Ken and Andrea

I am on clearlake in cali. same lake as bongo just a little south of him big bass fishing lake and we moor our boat on a buoy and I constantly have to check the shore rope for hooks so the kids (who pull them selves to the boat by the rope) don't get a hook. in our little bay we have about 10 bass boats a day come through. this last weekend I found a lure imbedded in the carpet. bass fishing is huge boost to the economy of the lake side towns here with tournaments every weekend it seems. I would love to put up a sign that says "mind your hooks " but I know I would catch a ton of heat. never had a problem out on the water though

I'm getting kind of ticked. I trade vehicles a lot and I bought this truck new March 2016, so the frustrated side is telling me to say screw it and go buy a 3/4 ton diesel and be done with it.

The thread lasted longer than I expected before Ford was called out . Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll re-bleed the trailer brakes, but I'm fairly certain they're working great, because the first set of rotors got warped from my old 20ft crownline with no trailer brakes. This new trailer pulls like a dream and stops wonderfully. even saved me in an almost emergency stop, the trailer brakes were smoking after that stop. Maybe my issue is what Nick213 goes through. I don't go slow/take it easy. I run 75 on the interstate and at/above limit on divided highways. Even country roads headed to one of the lakes I go to I'll run close to same speed as non-towing vehicles. Maybe that's the source of the warping, is me not driving it easy and slow.

We like to surf along the dam at our lake.....I try to be respectful if there are fisherman around and give them plenty of room, if someone is fishing the dam, we surf somewhere else.....every once in awhile someone will want to fish the rocks next to the damn when we were already surfing in that area..... they will pull up right in front of you then get pissed when our wave almost pushes them into the rocks.....I've gotten the finger and yelled at a couple of times.......I guess it's my job to get out of their way........I wish respect would go both ways!

Put some time in last weekend w the Swell. Ocassionally i set up for the kids to surf. I always tame down the wave so it's not very intimidating. One time I filled just the rams. NO pnp's, no lead, 3 adults 2 kids. Slapped on the swell and actually had a descent little wave for them. I added a little QS just to try it and was amazed. The pic is of my 13yr old nephew first time surfing. I actually had to ride the wave just to see if it had push. Not as good as with full ballast and the swell but the swell/QS combo was a VERY quick set up with a surfable wave.

Leadwake...way better from what I can see (just bought 500lbs)...right now its 10% off on any quantity you buy (code is fire10). Price includes free shipping. 50lb bag at retail = $59.99. Call Jared @ 626-353-0340 Love the lead....getting a KILLER wave. Went out this evening and had to trim the bow down cause the wave was so monstrous. Easily waist high running little over 4500lbs of ballast plus people. I am using a suckgate with it just cause I can add more ballast and the push is simply sick. Much better than I have been able to achieve listing...tho plenty others on here can make a killer listed wave. Since I am fairly new to surfing...better wave with lots of push made it easier for me to progress faster. No matter what tho, there is a learning curve to surfing. I got up first try being athletic and could surf all day holding rope....dropping it and keeping the wave more than 60 seconds was another thing and it took me 12-15 trips to get it. Keep doing it and it will just "click" one day and you will feel it.

Clear Lake is consistently rated one of the top bass fishing lakes in the USA. We have a ton of bass boats on the lake. We stay away from them and for the most part its cool....but there is a reason they are called bassholes......every season we run into one or two and its mostly them blocking a channel and not moving.....a few years ago it got pretty ugly with one. I was being nice and he swore at us...called us names... and we were going five miles an hour with no weight on the boat trying to get in to fuel....we saw him later that day out by a cove......we slammed the boat and gave him an up close full ballast flyby! It was epic!!
