hang in there Chowder. you got the first xr7 257 right? shouldn't be this way. hammer the dealer. keep the faith. your boat puts out 2x the wave of all else out there and your dealer and Centurion will make it right.

As Chowders First Mate, I am working on a map and rules for those non-regular guests that come on. Any suggestions on the map or rules? I didn't list the 1500 pounds of lead in the back since the guests don't need to know that one. 1. Review the boat map 2. No shoes on the boat 3. No glass on the boat 4. 1 bag max per GROUP 5. Towels are only needed if the weather report calls for high winds or temperature below 75 degrees. 6. Leave your change of clothes in your car 7. Boat gas isn’t free, don’t forget to “tip” the captain 8. Hat and sunglasses is recommend, don’t look like a lobster 9. Snacks that don’t require to stay cold is always a good idea to share with everyone 10. Picky drinkers should bring the drink they like since the boat mostly has light cheap can beer

Worked with TJ over at Gator Step. He had a template for my SV230 so I went with that. He warned me in advance that Centurion was not consistent in seat placement in these boats nor were the screws for the center part of the floor consistently placed. I took the chance and he was right, the driver's seat didn't line up nor did the screws. No biggie though. I will relocate the center panel screws to the Gator Step locations and I just cut the EVA foam around my seat pedastal. It's not perfect but I doubt I will notice once the . seat is on. When I ordered TJ offered to remake the piece on the drivers side if it didn't fit for his cost. I doubt I will take him up on it as I doubt I'm going to notice. TJ is great to work with and I'm very satisfied with the product.

#2 should be #1. No Cheetos or food that can stain. No spray on sunscreen or other sprays.

We've actually had a couple days of sunshine grace us with it's presence so far this month. I was fortunate enough to have one of them off! So here's some pics of our surf crew on tuesday. Everyone had a great time behind my buddies 2017 Ri237. I was ecstatic to be able to ride without booties on and not have my feet go numb within 5 mins! COME ON SUMMER!!

We had some friends out to surf with us before the comp as well. No judging, I was filming from my phone while driving and the edits were done on the new gopro app and actually works pretty well! Turn the quality up to 1080p

We took out an S211 and it threw a decent wave with stock ballast but could have used another 2000lbs with the same freeboard as an s238! The QS tabs made the boat actually list pretty easily when evenly weighted with all ballast at 100% with just stock ballast.

Well the wife took 3rd out of 7 the 1st day of the comp then missed 3rd on the 2nd day by 1.8 points AT 5 MONTHS PREGNANT lol. Its unfortunate that she couldn't hit that podium in her 1st/last comp of the season but she rode great and was happy! I got 3rd out of 7 and was triple the age of some of these good lil sh!ts haha. They keep getting younger and better, and I dont get enough ride time to progress anymore.

The foam pads go OVER your PVC tubes. Its a tight squeeze, especially when you get to the capped end of the tube.

"Thank you had a blast" doesn't fill the gas tanks hehe

Solution is bolt replacement in the flapper, new starter, and oil change. Fairly simple fix, that should prevent reoccuring. The flapper is inside silent stinger. When this happened we were fully weighted so tush end was DEEP. Platform was calf deep. We stopped for lunch and it would not restart, alternator smoked, literally smoked! Same thing we had to be towed in. Totally screwed the weekend. However all better and got boat back last Friday.

#1 tip the captain.... The captain is/should be sober and foots the bill up front EVERY TIME! I never ask for anyone to pitch in (because we shouldn't have to) when I have 1-5 people in the truck and they watch the gas pump flow at $3.10+ a gallon with 20-30 gallons in the truck and 10-30 gallons in the boat they see the $$$ that goes into the trip but..... "I gotta pee", "I forgot beer", "I'll get the ice". Regarless I love boating with or without friends and I know what it takes and cost so I'm willing to foot the bill, it just would be nice if others would help put a dint in the cost of the trip.

Chowder, i lost my starter a week ago. The problem was not tree starter, but the exhaust flapper inside tge silent stinger. The flapper got stuck open, allowing water to back up and hydro lock the engine. The starter fried trying to crank the engine. So flapper AND starter replaced. So have them check your flapper!

I don't know the exact setup, but it's a Ramfill boat. So, all bags full. Starboard Ram full. Port Ram 80-90%. Running a bit of CATS and he has the A Plate. There's less need for the carbon vent covers when running the boat not listed. But I'd still get them.

For future searches.... My 2003 Avalanche came from the factory with a Attwood Sahara S750 Also, if you call Centurion customer service they are really good about answering questions about the older boats. With proof of ownership they were also able to get me the original order sheet for my boat showing how it was spec'd out, options, engine numbers, etc.

I'm sure the release will be anti-climatic. Too many times on this site we've been built up on a new release, just to have some crappy video released 3 weeks late of a dude falling in the surf wave...

been using 87 octane in mine for 24 years and over 3000 hours. I don't put in any additives even over the winter. Never touched the motor or carb yet not even an alternator or starter has gone out. It has lost about 2 mph top end over the years and will one day be upgraded to I hope around 400 HP. Only item that I have replaced is plugs and wires every 5 years and water pump every two or three (still wish I had my metal bodied pump but unfortunately the first time it went out I replaces it with the plastic housing. Now I carry a water pump in my box under the bow with spare prop and puller and jumper cables

I'm glad to see that the crew is coming around to the idea of wake shaping devices. Last year I made a few posts about the one I built and people scoffed at me for putting something like that on a Centurion that is built to be listed. I gladly took the heat though considering that my surf wave is INSANE now, even on the goofy side! No shame in that...

http://www.krypt-towers.com/ i met the owner, actually lives just north of San Antonio, really good dude. He had a couple sets of surf fingers laying around that fit my base (3.75") and scored them for just under $100. I'd shoot him a message!
