No pictures of riding to share but, this did stand out from last weekend.

We've actually had a couple days of sunshine grace us with it's presence so far this month. I was fortunate enough to have one of them off! So here's some pics of our surf crew on tuesday. Everyone had a great time behind my buddies 2017 Ri237. I was ecstatic to be able to ride without booties on and not have my feet go numb within 5 mins! COME ON SUMMER!!

Come on Dark, man up and ditch the booties. Having frozen feet is just the Canadian way.?

I disagree I have a factory surf system and don't use it. My advice is work on the basics of surfing. If you are just standing there expecting the wave to push you work on progression. 9.5 mph is way to slow most of us ride between 11 and 11.5 mph. The Enzo should put out a awesome wave with the setup you have just sounds like you have not learned how to utilize it yet.

I've surfed the 217 a couple of times. It's an amazing boat. You would never guess that it's a 21' boat by the wake it puts out. It's also super nimble and well laid out. He should definitely demo it.

Here's my buddies findings with his 2017 Ri237. He dropped between 400-700RPM depending how he setup his ballast. Also noticed running the boat more even weighted reduced the RPMs even though the total ballast #s went up over listed setup. Ok Had the 1235 14.5x14.25 .109 cup Have now 2277 15x15.75 .150 cup The 1589 is a good one too 14.5x16 .135 cup Acme explained to me for every inch of pitch is worth 200 rpm less. But if u go up in prop size u also gain less rpm too. This is speaking for a set up like mine with the vdrive reduction. I might try a 15.5x15.5 #2849 Having the gear reduction gives me I think options ?

Had to ditch the boots as well. So hard to do anything in. I would rather have numb feet than surf in boots

Well I took five minutes to model a stinger trim plate.......I figure $60 in 3/16 stainless 15 minutes on the CNC plasma table, 15 minutes in deburr and polish, 5 minutes in the brake, and 15 minutes in mock-up clamp and mounting...........shop rate @ 150/hr. = about $200 to $225 project. I would start this project today if I had the material in house.....☹️ I am truly hoping it can help shove the bow down for a even longer wave! If NW's price is really 300 bucks, it isn't too bad of a deal.....and way less work.....lol

Nice I think if you have it inspected like I suggested before making the trip you will be good to go. Let me know when you plan to head north and we can meet up and do some surfing just make sure you bring a wetsuit

DrNate had an IS swallow that we rode back in the day. I would say it's a good board for a big guy but if you want the best board for a big guy go with a 9' Stewart Redline 11.

Still learning all the buttons and tabs - but the wave on both sides has blown me away. Visually and the push has been awesome. I need more time to dial in skim and surf settings, as well as an ideal set up for jumping over instantly, but she kicks an amazing wave.

I love my 217. blown away by the wave, super easy to dial in and plenty roomy enough for a small crew (>6, IMO), drives like a dream, and looks sexy on the water. Best part, wife is happy and she can be a hard one to please.

My 233 (same hull as 230) has a wicked wave. We run both quick fills full, port pro full, port plug and play full and an extra 400 or so on port side. We are listed and at rub rail. We almost never run bow ballast. Speed is right around 11. I have pictures on this site if you care to search for them. A good board does make a huge difference too but you should have no issues at all at 195lbs. My boys ride way back there....not really sure how many towel lengths that is........I'm heavy and stay closer to the boat but still have a nice pocket to ride in.

a note from one who knows...it is easier to learn to surf on the biggest wave you can generate. also a big board helps. when I decided to sink my Axis with 4k ballast and got a larger board..It seemed to shorten the learning curve. once I was able to go ropeless I was then able to surf smaller boards that I previously couldn't. losing weight also helps. alot.

Is your buddy primarily going to be using the boat for surfing? the Ri217 will likely surf scads better than the SAN 230. Whether he deals with Wizard or comes down this way to deal with SWS on a Malibu, he'll be in good hands. I've never been a fan of Martin Motorsports myself, but if your buddy has a good relationship with them, I'd look seriously at a Supra. The Ri217 is going to flat out be the best wave in a 21'-22' boat. And it'll be the largest "feeling" boat in its class. Sadly, $120K CAD doesn't get you a whole lot in a new boat if he's looking to stick with the big names. Malibu, Mastercraft, Centurion, and Nautique (unless he looks at a GS) will for sure be out. He might get close on a smaller Supra. I've never priced a Ri217 out, but he can't be too far off. Wizard just took a 2016 FS44 w/XR7 on trade. It's $133,900 and only has 26 hrs on it. If he's stuck to his budget, I'd recommend looking at a slightly used High End inboard over a new Entry Level boat. If he's looking for a nice boat at $120K, good surf wave, and a surf system that's easy to use, I'd be having Wizard find him a nice used 23 LSV. They've been taking tons in on trade. It'll hold its value well and will be a great all around boat no matter what you want to do behind it.

I did pop products and the bags seem nice to me. I would also like to know how it's easier to place the 50# bags over the 40# ones?
