Help me plan a new ballast system? Or not?

I NEVER used bow weight in my EliteV. Try putting a couple people up there first before you drop bank and time on it. My boat liked the weight as far back as possible and almost no counterweight.

If you ever plan to setup for surf on the goofy side, I'd get a 750 or 900 bag for that locker instead of the 540... if you've already got that bag, well I guess that's what's going in eh. Lol.

Interesting, he said his 03 loved a 400 bag. But that is good to hear. Yes I already have the 540 haha. But was considering upgrading to a 750 or 900 anyway for that side. I really don't like possible having something that isn't symmetrical haha. I surfed for the first time today with a 540 in the port locker and another 540 on the port seat!

It was a blast!

What year is your EliteV? Does it have the stepped hull? Cause mine was an 06' and was just like the Avalanche hull.

Ok... I went back and seen that you have a 2002. You may need to weight your boat differently than I did.

Mine is a 2002, I think they either 06 was the last year of the old hull or first year of the new hull

I had an 06 with the new hull. I think 05 was the changeover year.

Well... I'll run an aux line up to the bow before buying a bow bag. If it doesn't need t so be it! If it does shouldn't be a big deal to throw a vent line in there as well. So excited to get this system started so I can flip switches while relaxing.

Plus it's fun to build stuff.

Wish wakemakers wasn't completely across the country for me.. But I'll be twittling my thumbs for he next 5 days! Just ordered the rest of my fittings, thru hulls, and the 900 bag.

Hopefully 50 feet of hose is enough. I should have some from the stock system for vent lines I hope

50' will be plenty. Did you buy or already have the hose cutter tool? I used a utility knife on my first build and the cutters on this latest build.... man, what a difference! So much quicker and easier! You can find one at your local hardware store for cheaper than the wakemakers one.

I don't think so.... but not sure. Looks kinda like garden shears and it ratchets closed to cut.

Fun toys! Don't screw it up. Take your time and have a beer after the work is done. Keep those pics coming.

Yea, ill try to take my time. Probably going to in in list some help. Only nervous about cutting 2 thru hulls and wiring the pumps. Everything else just seems like legos.

Spent 3 hours today diagnosing and replacing a ceiling fan muttering how I had better things(ballast) to do haha..
