Received new color matched diamond plate from Boatmate and my 2 spare tires just in time for first road trip. Now to get time to pop the old diamond plate off and install the new. UPS damaged the center caps on both spares, but I expect the insurance will make it right.

That looks awesome! I have chrome and I may have to do this as well!

Right now I have about 6 inches clearance on the handle when in use and doesn't cause any issues. I'm planning to have a better box for the brake actuator built that will allow the spare tire mounts to connect under the center which would then give me about 15 inches clearance.

I will be installing the orange diamond plate on the trailer this weekend.

I put matching wheels on the truck (will take picture soon).

The factory 15 inch prop did cause some gel burn, so they are having a prop guard installed and will change the prop to something a little smaller, I'm not sure which one will be put on yet, evidently it is back ordered at the factory.

I am waiting on a custom brake controller box to show up to replace the plastic one that came from BoatMate.

All in all, I still really, really enjoy this boat.

I just purchased a 15' FS 44. It's the same setup. 550, plug and play, totally loaded.

 

I'm in Philadelphia and there is not much of a local knowledge base here on how to best set up the ballast for surfing and I thought you may be able to share what works for you.

 

Any info would be appreciated.

FS boats are fairly simple to dial in. Basically, fill every bag, surf side ramfill full, non surf side 20%+ just keep adding more till your wave starts to go mushy. Now you can play with your trim and Cats settings to clean it up. Speed between 11&12MPH.

The FS boats can handle a lot of counter weight. Makes the wave that much bigger!

Yep. Every bag(bow and two lockers) 100%.

And what Dr Pringle said. 20% is just a rough suggestion. Fill everything 100%, but the non surf Ramfill at 20% to start, then play with the Cats fin and trim tab, then you can add or subtract non surf Ramfill to dial in a bit more. Every boat, even all FS44's require some slight differences in setup. But this should be a solid starting point for you.
