To make it a viable comparison, you would need to hand 2 pair of the XS-650. Since Wet Sounds no longer loads the XS-650 in a pod, you also need to consider the quality of the aftermarket pods you are getting those XS-650's loaded in. Many of the polished aluminum pods that retailers package them with, lose their luster after a season or two.

2 pair of xs-650 will have more peak output due to the 4 1" tweeters, but will lack a little mid-bass as a result of pod displacement. The KMT67 with its dual 6.75" mid-bass woofers, will sound a little more fuller and more balanced. The KMT67 offers better mid-bass, due to the KMT67's pod size, but also do to only a single high powered horn loaded titanium dome tweeter in each pod. Although the KM67 will not have the narrowed cone projection of an actual HLCD, they will project better than a traditional coaxial.

Unless you are looking for the looks of 4 pods, I would consider a single pair of Wet Sounds Icon-8 over 2 pair of XS-650 in aftermarket pods.

^^^ I am sure you will enjoy them but, I would have gone with a pair of Wet Sounds REV10's, with the stainless steel swivel clamps they are still $200.00 cheaper, you can remove each speaker/adjust/swivel with one bolt and IMO the REV10's have more depth, larger range of sound, project better and give you 100 more watts at RMS and 200 more watts at Peak.

Part of why I went with the Roswell Neptune 8.0 over wet sounds is i like the Roswell cans better. I think wet sounds are very good but I didn't want a black or white can. The Roswell Neptune 8.0 I got for $1300 out the door
