Funny, I thought my boat was to be a deprieciating asset when I bought mine

Bringing back the Elite V for East coast only? There's your entry level boat.

Seems like the Avy is too much competition for the other models to sell?

Long Live the Elite V!

I think I could sell mine today for what I have in it with mods. So basically I put over 200 hours on it for "free". LOL. But even if I did that I Still couldn't afford a new Enzo.

I Also think He was talking about the Eastern Hemisphere (over seas) not East coast.

Before we bought our SV233, we had an 09 Supra 21V. Put almost 300 hours in 2 summers. Sold it for a 1k profit over what we paid for it... The prices are getting ridiculous. Part of the reason I cared less about buying a new boat. I know we are a little upside down know, despite putting around 12k down on it when we bought it, but in about 2 more years, we'll have some decent equity in it, about the time I want to buy another.

DOH!!!

Ok....now I'm really scratching my head, in my eyes the Avy is the answer over an Elite. It's just a little wider and just a tad bit longer. Why bring back something smaller and get rid of a better performing boat in some regards. Is a smaller boat less subject to taxes and fees overseas?

I did notice MC was offering a new entry level boat "nicely equipped"for 50k. Which is was cheaper than the Elite v when it was at my local dealer

Glad it's coming back, don't get me wrong, I love mine and respect it. But shake my head in confusion over the loss of the Avy

X2 on pricing......it's outta control. When is it going to plane out and come to a stop? I'd like to see more Centurions on the water than a onsie twosies

New models look sweet

I picked up a new 14 AVY last month for 59k canadian. Thats 54 US. Came with pro ballest and gladiator rack and love every bit of it. Sure I will end up spending more getting it to were I want it with bags and stereo. But will still be way cheaper than a new enzo.

Ok fellas.

SV233:

343 or 409?

Bow ballast or no?

Pretty big chunk o change for both.

I think you will be ok with the 343 but, I would do the 409 if at all possible. Bow ballast is nice for resale and rough water days, except for rough days we never use it, it does not hold all that much weight, you can put a FlyHigh brick on the seat in the very front and get the same effect.

Love our 409 and am so glad we did it. There is a big difference. We have the bow ballast. Don't use it to much but when we do I'm glad its there. If you are ordering new I don't know why you would not put it in to have max ballast options.

We have the 343 and no bow ballast on an sv233. The 343 seems to do fine for our needs. As far as bow we have never needed to out any weight up front so far to make the surf wave better, but we only have 35 hours logged so far.

Last year I was kicking around the idea of getting a new Enzo and as it pertained to the 233 and FX22 the Centurion factory rep told me you don't need the 409 unless you're at real high elevation. I'm sure it's nice to have, but I wouldn't blow my budget for it.

Agree 100% with this. I have been on both a number of times....you clearly don't need it but it is nice to have.

We ordered a 343 on our SV233, and it works great. 300 feet of elevation. We normally run 3700 pounds of ballast and run around 10.8 to 11.2. Runs great with no issues, and we've put about 200 hours on it. I would DEFINITELY recommend the bow ballast. We have found, after a couple hundred hours, that putting some weight in the bow lowers the engine RPMs with no adverse effect to the wave. We found this out bowl surfing when we couldn't get to 14.5 with ease, and once we added some bow weight, no issues. I am very glad I ordered it with that.

This this has just to much power said no one ever...keep it in mind, again if the budget will allow it I would go with the 409, in the long run how much are you really adding to a monthly payment?

I know, but you end up saying that alot when building a boat! It starts down here and ends up way WAY up there! LOL. Just realized how much they charge for their transom LED's... that's coming off! I'll go Raw's route and tape glow stix!

That was an idea it never actually happened! Or maybe I was to many adult beverages in at that Crew Weekend to realize what really happened

Know what you mean. little here little their and soon you are at 100k. I say just order it up with stuff that can't be added after. I know it wont be as clean of an install but atleast you won't end up with ugly tower speakers and a polk audio system. JM2C..

Don't worry, won't be going with anything but wet sounds on the tower. As far as the in boats go, I'm sure the Roswell will be fine. Sucks to mix n match though.
