Finally Ordered a New 233

Nick....we have a place at CL and the boat is there on a lift. Only time I ever really tow the boat is at the begining and end of the season when we take it on and off the lift. We may do a Shasta trip this year.

@ Bongo (or anyone else in the know) -

 

I'm doing some math - you ordered your 233 on or around March 23rd. On May 5th you posted photos of construction. When will you get your boat?

 

Or - more to the point - I ordered my new 244 on April 26. I'm thinking the order left the dealership on April 29th. The good people at Centurion are telling me 2nd week of June for completion.

 

Am I gonna see my boat before the solstice, or is that just a pipe dream? Do boats get stacked up in California before filling a trailer to make the trip to Pennsylvania?

 

Also (to anyone)- What the hell am I supposed to do until then? I've pretty much nailed my honey-do list. I guess I can go sit on my new boat lift....

I don't know if true or not, but my dealer told me that they paid extra to get my boat expedited shipped to me. They said that Centurion will normally wait for other builds to get completed so that they have a full shipment shipped, which means that certain boats are waiting for others. Again, this is hearsay. However, mine was done in around 5 weeks.

I am going on a road trip to Merced tomorrow to see the boat in production. I will see what I can find out as we are also without a boat. I was told for sure before Memorial Day but hope it's sooner than that.

It really depends on the build schedule for the specific model at the factory when the order is placed and since we are in Cali I cannot comment on shipping back East and the timing that is involved, but it takes roughly three weeks for a boat to be completed and ready to ship from the spray date. The next avl. spray date depends on the schedule at the factory, current orders, etc - I made an attempt to order another round of Supreme v226's last week and the next spray date was out until mid July already. We will hopefully see Bongo's new 233 next Friday!!!

Awesome Road Trip to Centurion Merced yesterday with the family. Huge thanks to Les Clark Vice-President of Manufacturing for all his time and the wonderful tour of the facility. Great to see Shell again and she loaded up the boys with Centurion stickers for their boards. What a great day!

for some reason i thought there was a manufacturing plant on the east coast? when we went to a boat show i talked to a rep who said he was working at the plant where boat was built. i could easily be wrong about the east coast plant, but it was pretty cool to meet a guy who actually helped make our boat

There was. It was mothballed. My boat was built in the east coast NC facility.
