Finally Ordered a New 233

Recommended Posts

We pulled the trigger last week on a 2013 233. Boat is on order with a spray date of April 22nd I believe. My journey really started while watching the Worlds , and has been filled with many ups and downs. I honestly did not need a new boat, my Falcon is a really sweet ride....but I damm sure wanted one. I am so stoked to finally have this done.

A big part of my decision was what would work with our existing dock and lift. The 244 simply would have been to big, and would have required an upgrade to my lift. On our demo day, we brought the 233 to the house and put it on the lift. It fit like a glove. That is what closed the deal for me.

We ordered the boat fully loaded and upgraded to the 409. My thirteen year old talked me into the motor upgrade as he chided me to.. “go big or go home”. I won’t list all the options as most of you know what they are, but since this will be my last wakeboat I wanted to be sure I would never second guess what I put on it. It has pretty much everything.

My wife and I like simple designs and blue and white. We went with the Ovation Package. The Main Hull is Canadian Blue Flake, and the Ovation Main in White Frost. Deck is also White Frost and we added a Canadian Blue Metal Flake Deck Pinstripe. The Ovation Stripe is Onyx Black. We chose Blue perf, but we asked that the bottom section piece right below the throttle be black for some contrast. Upholstery will be Lt. Grey with Charcoal seat edge trim and Blue Piping on the cushions. It is the same upholstery that was on our demo boat with the addition of the blue piping on the cushions. White tower and four white Rev 80’s. We will add the WS 420 when the boat comes in. Trailer will be black with blue pin stripe. We did not go nuts on the trailer as we rarely tow, but did have them add a drop down spare that I saw last year at the factory and the retractable transom straps WakeDoc recommends.

I really want to thank everyone who participates on this site. You all really played an important part of my decision making process. The $35 I spend here every year helped me tremendously to build one bad surf boat! I know there are many new members on the site, some of whom just bought new expensive Centurions...if you like and use this site think about becoming a supporting member and help keep this the best owners site on the web. A special shout out to RVR RAT...he really will never know how much he inspired me with his 244.

I can’t end this post without a huge thank you to Travis at Hillside Honda. Shameless plug, but we have become friends over the years and he has got to be among the top group of Centurions best dealers. Knowledgeable, understanding, and service way beyond the call of duty. Oh and by the way.....a heck of a deal on the boat. Travis....Thank You!

So now the waiting has begun. I am counting the days!

Congratulations. You know I like your colors as they are similar to mine. Clean and understated elegance. I smile every time I look at my boat and ride in it.

We used to love going up to clearlake every summer but I hated the lake once June would come around due to the algae and the smell. My friends said that it used to be clear back in the 70's. LOL!! Konocti harbor had a great concerts venue until they closed it. Too bad they don't open it backup with a indian casino.

The lake does have some Algae issues but usualy not until the end of July, August and Sept. April, May and June is usualy really beautiful, and we ride in great water from September, October into early Novemeber.... boat comes off the lift the Friday after Thanksgiving. What we love is that the lake is huge, never crowded, and no matter what month of the year you can always find nice water to ride in. It has it's good and bad points but we love it.
