I snatched up a Slingshot Response wakeboard at the Seattle Boat Show this last week. I've been really interested in the new technology boards and the Slingshot rep made me a deal I couldn't pass up. I love my Ronix Mana, but if everything about the Slingshot holds water, I'm pretty certain it will be my new ride. I can't beleive how much flex the thing has - it should return all of the energy right back off the lip of the wake and be a lot softer on the knees.

Anyone ridden the Slingshot line?

I have heard nothing but good things about Slingshot boards. On wakeworld that is all the boarders talk about. I have tried an LF Shane Hybrid which has flex in it, it definitely feels unique. I liked it. It was easy to do surface tricks with. The edging definitely takes some getting use to though. What bindings did you go with for it?

defanatly a good crossover board, how often do you ride cable? i like flex, and crossover boards are great, but the landings will be harder than your used to. i have a company recruit, (unfortunatly the (censored) owners at LF sent them outta business, dont get me started) and it is AMAZING on the cable. i love it behind the boat, except the landing right outside the wake. that spot reight outside the wake is kinda a deadzone, it sucks landing there. whenever you throw a big trick it will be tough on the landing, i ended up adding about 7ft to my rope and started taking most of my tricks wtw instead of throwin them all outside

I got the 2012 model. The rep said beyond the graphics, the 2012 and 2013 are identical in construction/tech. Not certain what I'm going to do with binding selection. I bolted up my Ronix Kai open toes and I'm not real happy with the mounting bolt situation. Too few threads using the Slingshot bolts (smaller than Ronix) and the Ronix degreed tooth adapters. I'm really eying the Slingshot closed toe R.A.D. setup with heat moldable liners. Probably gonna try them out - why not!? :band:53414.Image.1.jpg
