Thanks, I agree it's time to start peeling off the Benjamin's. Hope I can keep under 20 of them. I'll post what happens when i get it back.

I would still bet its the intake gasket leaking into the lifter valley.

There is no mystery here.

 

Unless it's a closed cooling system it's going to be difficult to pressurize it.

 

Run a leakdown test on each cylinder - that will tell you if it's a headgasket.

 

GOBIG is also giving good advice - intake gasket is a definite possibility

If it has been leaking you will be able to tell. If it hasnt you need to look farther good luck.

Well I statred pulling parts off this weekend. Low and behold when I got to the intake manifold bolts the two on the front starboard side were loose. Not much more than finger tight. When I pulled the manifold I saw a perfectly intact gasket, but upon further investigation I could see where the water had been passing between the gasket and the head. I was lucky and found it early. Put everything back together and ran the boat with no issues. Thanks to the crew for all your suggestions and help.
