First off this is only to try and help clean up wakesurfing wakes on centurions like mine.

I have a 1998 Centurion Elite V-Drive. I only surf behind my boat and I installed a better prop, which helped out of the hole.

I then installed a trim tab and set it to 0 or -1 degree, and still had spray on the side i surf. I got a tip from Mac Page (Inaland Surfer)

to install a ski fin on the side of the trim tab that i surf on. It worked awesome in laying prop was over and making the wake clean. I will post pics later of install and Wake before and after.

If you have any ???? fell free to text and Ill send pics. 3167082822. Thanks Ty.

Hope this helps. I am still working on ballast placement now that wake is cleaned up.

Please do post some pics/vids and tell us all which side you surf... I'm betting we can all guess though! :surfing2:

Looks like it did the trick! Have you noticed any difference in the way the boat handles now?

How much weight are you running?

I am going to have to try this trick for sure. That really seems to make a huge change to the shape! :surfing2:

Man that cleaned the wave up nice. I would like to see if it works on the starboard side of an enzo to clean up the wave.

with us all sinking these hulls down to make a wave, cleaning it up is great, making it bigger is a bonus, as for the vents on the rear that get under the water line, theres a product call frog skins we use them on our sleds to keep snow an water out of them but let the engine cool , gore tex. putting one over the vents, kinda pricy but should work wonders will let ya all know, no more duct tape hopefully. as for ballast there fresh fish, i run 3330lbs spread out, havent sunk it yet!

Got my 8"x 4 1/2" aluminium ski fin in the mail today. I'm putting it on tonight and testing this thing out tomorrow if the weather holds out. I can't wait to see if this is the best $20 I have spent on the boat. I'm super excited to see how much of a difference such a small piece can make.

I am having my new plate made today, it will be a 12 x 12 plate, and 3/16" thick . I'm going to try out a bigger fin based on UBugme2's thoughts, so going to try it out at a size of 8(L) x 6(H). It will be shaped like a ski fin, just a fairly big one. I'm wondering if I should put any holes in it along the bottom edge, like a regular ski fin or like the Fins on the bottom of the boat? or should I just leave it all a solid piece.

The boat is already up in the Okanogan waiting for me, so I won't be able to install until friday night, but I'm looking fwd to seeing how this will work. Will update once it is installed, and post some pics once I have the plate in hand, to see what you guys think.

Wigs.
