Nice pics Trev, the one of your wife noseing in with a smile and the one of you diving in are priceless!

Well everyone, today I finally did it! Ropeless! Tried my new Phase 5 DD first, WOW, what a different board! Couldn't quite keep up, then I grabbed the Bluelake again and was able to keep the wave and even pump back in when I started to lose it!

There's video, but my sister filmed it in portrait, so you have to turn your head sideways to watch it. :wallbash:

And, my wife tried to surf finally as well!... I've never seen such horrific wipeouts wakesurfing before! She got shin hacked by the board so hard, she was almost in tears, and was curled up in a ball in the water when I got to her! But an hour later, she got right back out there and tried some more!

Tonights suring. Condition, again, perfect. 90 degrees, water 78, little wind, good music!

Changed things up a bit tonight by adding some starboard weight. About 250# and it made a difference. Deeper pocket but the face of the wave was not as clean. Still an improvement over the past couple of nights.

For Sue: 1100# rear, 370# port seat, 250# center, 250# starboard, 1 kid @ 70#, 10.7 on PP.

Me: 1100# rear, 370# port seat, 250# center, 250# starboard, 1 kid @ 70#, 11.2 on PP.

Way to own this thread Trev! Great pics! How long did it take your wife to ride ropeless? Looks like she's doing good. Lucky you both surf the same side!
