2021 vi22 engine code spn:111 & unable to acknowledge

Hi,

Getting engine diagnostics code spn:111 fmi:1 & an annoying beep every ~120 secs.

Hitting acknowledge does nothing nor does hitting the refresh looking button on the bottom right.

Has anyone run into this?

SPN 111 / FMI 1 is the fault for low coolant level. Is your coolant level low?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion.  We checked the coolant level as soon as the fault hit & level was fine.

There are two distinct problems:

1) why the fault is being fired

I believe the fault is being fired erroneously as the coolant reservoir is full, but perhaps there is something else to check?

2) how to clear the fault once fired

Nothing I do will clear the fault, the "ACKNOWLEDGE" & refresh looking spinner button on bottom of the screen are not working.

I m not sure where the OBD2 port would be on one of these boats (assuming there is one), but through the port you can clear codes with a code reader.

try looking behind the dash under the driver’s side bow backrest.

Just an FYI, boats do not use OBD2, so dont be looking for a port that looks like the one under the dash of your car. MEFI has a different connector, and it has changed over the years as well.
