2021 ZS232 Center Tab Settings

Recommended Posts

On our 2021 ZS232, the center tab does not work as expected and my dealer indicates the tab is functioning as intended after his discussions with Supreme.

Starting with the tab at the zero position (fully up) - the tab gets deployed 5 at a time.  The first 5 clicks generate movement in the center tab - but all movement stops at a setting of 25.  I am being told this is the max travel - which would make this the 100 setting I am guessing.

That is frustrating if true - as the dash should say 100 at that point.

But the real issue is if I keep going all the way to say 75 (a generally good place to surf for newbies) - just note the tab doesn't move at all past 25.

So now I am surfing at what I think is 75 and I want to make the wave more aggressive - so I adjust down 5 notches to a setting of 50 (I am actually at zero as i only have 5 total clicks up and down).

Its really not as confusing as it sounds - but is anyone else seeing this ?

I just shake my head when someone says put the setting at 75 - cause with only 5 total clicks you are rally at 25 (or is that considered 100 as that is all the travel we get)??

It will take 2 people to check your tab - but please tell me I am not alone here?

That is not normal. Mine travels from 0 - 100 moving at every 5% increment. I actually set it to 45 at the most aggressive, and usually am about 55-60 for my normal surf style setting. My wife prefers skim so she likes it mellow like 90-100.

Thanks @Troy. R - can you confirm yours is a 2021 ZS232 ?   Just double checking before I check again with the dealer.

I have a 2021 and although I have not have it in the water yet I have played around with it in the driveway.  My plate moves more than 5 times (0-25% in 5% increments is how I understood what you said).  Mine moves basically 20 times, moves every click of the trim lever.  5% each click, 0-100%.

Mine is a ‘19, but the plate function is the same.

Thanks for the explanation - that I what I expected to happen.  but mine definitely moves 5 clicks only ... from 0 to 25 then stops moving all together!

I am hoping its a software update my dealer can flash and fix??!!

I will report back here once I hear.
