Is this really a Centurion?

Howdy all.  I'm thinking about possibly purchasing a boat and the owner says it's a 17' Centurion that came with a 4.3 I/O.  I can't find anything on the web to even start my research so I figured I'd come to the experts.  Any guidance or direction you all could share would be mucho appreciated.

Centurion did make some I/Os years ago, so he's probably telling you the truth.
What year is it?

Thanks for the reply Troy.  I'm unsure of the year and hoping to get some more info today that I can share.  I just couldn't find anything (pics, post, etc) of a Centurion I/O boat.  Thanks.

I went to have a look tonight.  Title says 1985 Ski Centurion 18' which at least the year looks right based on the Hull ID ( FINP00100585).  Interesting boat that definitely needs a lot of work but pretty cool and I haven't seen another one like it.
