Ski or Wake Boat?

Recommended Posts

I am looking at a 2005 Ski Centurion Tornado to purchase.  I only slalom and want a boat with a tiny wake.  My level is running courses, well trying to run courses, and don't want to consider this boat if the wake will be a problem.  I am in Maryland so getting in the water this time of the year is not possible.  Is anyone familiar with this model and year or could point me in the direction of someone who is?  I tried calling the dealer where the boat was purchased but nobody on the sales staff could help.

Full disclosure, I am not very familiar with this boat. A buddy used to have a T5 which I believe is the same hull, but I never saw anyone ski behind it. By looking at pics I would say it’s more ski than wake, but intended to be a crossover or sorts. It’s a direct drive which is certainly a ski feature, but also has just a little bit of a vee at the stern which would be more of a wake feature. A true comp ski boat would be flat at the stern like the Centurion Carbor Pro.
