Hard Water Spots

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

We've got about 40hrs on the new ZS232 now and the hard water spots are killing me! I live in AZ and the old trick I used from back in Northern CA doesn't work AT ALL! We used to just wipe down with towels that were damp with lake water and done. Not so much here... The water is very very hard. My son and I cleaned it with soft water and applied a ceramic spray wax about a month ago. It took the spots off, but it's not practical to do after every use.

I have heard/read that a vinegar/water solution works well, but at what concentration?
Do I need to apply wax more frequently if I adopt the vinegar/water method?

Thanks!

Hot Sauce by Boat Bling.   Use it every time you get out of the water. Won’t see a spot any place.

Boat Bling vs. Hula vs. Babes....

I've been looking at all three and have kind of been studying with Black Friday....

Heard good things about all of them, but hear really great things about Boat Bling and Hula..

I'm definitely going with Boat Bling..and maybe a small bottle of Hula to compare.

I haven’t been able to get out and buy any boat bling or other similar product, so I tried 50/50 vinegar/water today. It worked very well to remove the hard water sports.

I still plan to get something that includes some UV protection, but in a pinch vinegar/water is a useful option.

Boat Babes smells the best but Speed Gloss works the best imo

Just used hot sauce to detail my old sterndrive to sell. Very much liked the results. Boat Babes inside and Bling outside will be my elixir of choice when my new boat gets delivered in April!
