Going from a 2015 SV233 to a 2019 RI237?

Recommended Posts

We have been in the Centurion Family for a few years now.  Bought a 2015 SV233 (no ram fill) that was a couple of years old to get into the swing of things so we didn't have to plop down huge money in the beginning.  Now that we are die-hard, I am thinking about an upgrade.  Found a 2019 RI237 that is a leftover that I like.  Has all the bells and whistles (drop zone tower, 5100 lbs of ballast, ram fill, cover fire speakers).  The good thing is that the dealer is going to give me what I paid for mine two years ago.

So besides the electronic differences, what differences will I see from the surf wave, etc?  The best I can tell, the boat with loaded ballast will be about 3,000 lbs more which will definitely be a bigger more powerful wave.  We have quick surf now, but I was told them have improved the system.

Thoughts?  Is it worth it, or just stay with what I have?

Thanks!

you will love the new one. Just easier to get the wave.  If you can swing the added cost, don't look back and go new. My $.02

If money is no issue why not?   I will honestly say though I have a 2013 SV and the wave is money, for me the money is an issue so I keep an already great wave.  IF I had the spare 180k I would absolutely get a new boat simply because I'm an engineer and a sucker for the new tech.

I did it!  Got a really good deal on the new one and the trade-in.  Can't wait to get it in the water.  Thanks for the responses!
