In the spring of 2018, I purchased a new 2017 Ri217 from my local dealer, I spend most of my summers on the water. Throughout my ownership of the boat I've put many hours (around 250) on the boat surfing, today while pulling a surfer the boats low oil presser warning came on and I instantly shut the boat off, after 5 or so minutes I decided to turn to start the boat up to get back to the dock. When I hit the start button all I heard was a click, so I turned both batteries on and started the motor. The boat started and instantly lost all oil pressure to the point where it shut off then I started to smell burning oil. I looked in the engine bay to see a puddle of oil, I think that the motor is totally destroyed. Any clue on what might have happened? luckily the boat is still under warranty and has only been serviced at my local centurion dealer.

maybe an oil cooler line (if it even has an oil cooler) came off and pumped the oil out.  Hope it is an easy/quick fix.

Which engine?
