For my 2008 Supreme V232, I'm considering replacing carpet with Sea Deck or Gator Step. Does anyone know if there is gel coat beneath the carpet or what I will find when I pull carpet? This boat is a "Fineline" boat.

Once you get it unsnapped you’ll find textured gel coat in the hull color.  You will have several round access panels that are attached by ss screws for your fuel and ballast tank sending unit access.

The older supremes don’t have snap out carpet. That’s glued down edge to edge I believe. It won’t be pretty but it’ll be finished enough fiber glass to recover with minimal patching depending on how bad the carpet comes out.

If you yank it out buy Deckadence and put it down in it's place.  You won't regret it.  Gatorstep looks good but I still prefer the feel of Deckadence and ability to pull and clean, doesn't shrink, and won't see dirt around edges

x2 on the Deckadence, love it!

If you look on WakeGarage, you will see some options to DIY flooring that looks like Deckadence without the high price tag, called Miner's Moss.

Deckadence, had it for 10 years and still looks like new, soft on the feet.

VERY easy to clean. Roll it up and toss it out of the boat, then use hose to spray it off. Sometimes I will use a car brush with some soap to clean/scrub each side before hosing it off. Mine still looks brand new on my 2014 as well, very durable flooring. I also really like that any dirt goes to the bottom and the flooring looks clean even when its technically not. If you drop a towel/etc on it, wont get wet/dirty.

Mine was ordered from factory this way. If you get the miners moss (the cheaper option of the deckedence) I have seen people tape/spray paint them
