Which hose goes where?!?! Water pump

I pulled out the impeller about a month ago and now I got the new on installed and forgot where the hose goes. Can anyone help ? One inlet/outlet is small and on top the other larger on bottom. No indication on pump

On mine the pump will only mount one way and the hoses are different sizes so they will only go to the pump where they are suppose to .

Yeah on mine they are both able to slip on

For pumps in general, the suction side would normally have the larger port.

If you can determine the direction of rotation then put your drill on the shaft, turn it that way and then see which port sucks and which port blows.

I thought the same thing but when looking at flow chart diagrams for the cooling system it seemed to be the smaller one and that’s the way I hooked it all up and it ran fine without any over heating
