Hi, I have a 2017 Supreme S238 and was thinking about changing out my prop. I'm running about 3800 lbs of ballast. Has anyone used the Acme 1433 prop?

1433 is my favorite prop on my SV244....also use the 1847. They are same size prop, just different cup. Very little difference in how they performe. Excellent holeshot (I run up too 4900lbs of ballast and 6-8 adults and prop still never struggles to get up and out).  800ft elevation.

Full ballast, using suck gate I run about 3400rpm at 11mph. (listing 3200)

Empty cruising.....25mph is 3500rpm, 30mph is 4000rpm....tops out at 40mph at WOT.

4900# of ballast with a suck gate seams crazy to me and I can't see that kind of weight being necessary. I would have to think your burning way more gas then needed to produce a great wave. Are you switching sides often so that's why you prefer a suck gate over listed?

I use my boat listed and have never taken wakes over the side or bow with about 2200# of water ballast and 500# of lead (250# each rear locker) so I'm almost half the weight while surfing. That has to be less fuel consumption right...

Heres what my starboard wave look like.

IMG_0564.JPGPS sorry about going off topic, not sure what prop I have but I'll check and update soon.

What's your elevation? The factory high altitude prop works great for most. 14 X 14.25 your boat has a different drive ratio then infinity or Nick so what works for them will not work for you.

No, its not "necessary" to have the extra weight but I like the wave better using suck gate vs listing and wife does not like to drive at all when listed and making her comfortable so I can surf is no issue for me. My rpms go up to 3400 with the extra weight and suck gate but its not bad cause I use the bow weight. I still average 4.5 GPH which I think is great and I am totally fine with. I am sure I would burn less fuel with less weight like you said. I dont buy fuel at marina tho and have 87/89 ethenol free at gas stations easily available to me

2500 Ramfill; 1400lbs with 2) 700lb rear locker bags: 500lb bow bag, 500lbs of lead. I use most of the lead in bow since it makes the wave longer, but don't always take it.

Thinking of a spare Prop on our S238 as Wakemakers is running a sale.
We currently have an ACME 1939 with the PCM343. Boat between 370' to 1000' Elevation. It runs between 3200 - 3500 RPM.
Running upwards of 4000+ lbs Ballast.
90% Surf, 10% Wakeboard.
We run a few long lakes, so need to have some speed to get back to the launch reasonably.
Would anyone recommend a 1433 or 1847 as the spare? And which over the other?
