Rub rail mounted docking lights

What I love about boat show season is checking out all of the manufactures latest and greatest ideas and features.....MasterCraft did something cool this year on the new Xstar.  They installed rub rail mounted docking lights.....not sure if this is new in the industry, but it is the first time I’ve seen it.  I had to have this upgrade so here we go!

That's one of the main reasons why I am no longer a supporting member. I hang around because of some of the original members here I consider friends.

Well you better stay tuned, H......I have more cool mods coming......guys on here corrupt my head with good ideas, I ordered material to build surf racks Friday, I’m drawing up an “over engine” storage compartment and will start building soon, and finally will start the install of my GSA when it ever gets here.

Nice I used to do the same thing . If you look through the how to section you can check out some of my previous mods. We buy a new boat every 2 years now so only mod we do anymore is the stereo.  Guessing you work construction? You look comfortable with a zip wheel.

Lol.....I’m an mechanical engineer that spent my first 17 working years as a toolmaker/machinists.  It pains me to buy add-ons when I can build something better.....God bless our dealers on here, but it also hurts my ego having to take anything into them to fix unless it’s a warranty item......I guess you can say I’m a “hands on” kind of dude.....

I look forward to seeing the GSA mod, install video/pics since I plan to add that to my boat as well.

Wavemakers discontinued the WaveControl....I emailed customer support and they said that in the next month or 2 the will be selling the GSA system as-is and wont bring the WaveControl system back since they dont sell enough to keep supporting it. Prefer to buy from them simply cause I can get a discount tho I need to call GSA and see if they will do 10% or anything like that. I missed the black friday sale and dont want to wait till next year to add the GSA.

Wavecontrol is just a stripped down version of the GSA system...GSA has Bluetooth connectivity and its own app so you can control it from your phone or tablet as well as the wired controls......I will make sure to do a good job documenting the install and results since there is very little info on this forum on the GSA system.

Lol....this was seriously one of the easiest upgrades I have done.....that is, once you get past cutting and drilling holes in a perfectly good boat! ?

Where did you purchase the lights?  Are they the ones from ITC Marine?

GREAT work!  and yes agree there are less and less mod and build threads each and every year.
