Purchasing an FI 23

Recommended Posts

I bought an Fi 23 back in the Fall and have just been too depressed by the winter to post pics, but will post them soon :) I'm in Austin and surf on Lake Austin. The wave is incredible. I put on a 16" prop before ever putting her in the water.

Looks like a tough life @Tleeah! We have a similar setup at Lake Navajo in nortwestern New Mexico.  Houseboatin is the way to go if you aren't lucky enough to live on a lake.

Congrats again on the new wave.

Hoseboating is the best!!!  There is something about staying on the water on a boat.  Which houseboat is yours?

Cool, let me know if you ever come north to Belton Lake.  Post a pic when you can.

A couple of questions,

Which motor did you get?  Is prop on 1&1/8" shaft or the 1&1/16".

What surf settings do you prefer?

Boat has been delivered and fits well in slip and boat lift.

Here is my first attempt at a wave at full ballasts.  I could not get a picture of goofy because I was with my son and he would make turns while adjusting wave.  I was surprised how easy and fast it dialed in.  The wave looked pretty darn big!!!

Had ramfill 100%, locker bags 100%, and front hard tank 100%, then 550lb of lead.

Some pics a lake buddy took today.  The boat is loaded with ballasts.

That's a good looking wave.  However pictures are deceiving!  The Centurion waves feel as good as the look.   That can't be said about all waves.

Fantastic looking wave! What surf settings (Speed, QS, Stinger, Cats) were you running?

When you first posted the pics of the boat on the trailer I really did not like the purple but I have to say the boat in the water looks beautiful! Congratulations!
