Fresh Air Exhaust online ordering

Recommended Posts

Good Morning,

Going to keep this short and sweet.

Is there a list of bolt on Fresh Air Exhaust systems for the typical twin 3" stock exhaust as seen below? I am looking for is a site to order from with a quality product. I am open to all ideas. My boat is a 2012 V226 for reference.

Thank you in advance

DrNate,

I assume you are suggesting that the Centurion Dual Exhaust is an exact fit for Supreme Dual Exhaust? I've been checking this site for months and the Supreme page isn't built out yet. I emailed and never got a response from them.

Ahh, I get it now.  I was not trying to be a smart guy, I just assumed they had all of the Supremes on their site already.  Normally you can just go in and put your year, make, model, and preferences and you can price it out and order it right there.

Yeah, I would definitely call AND email.  They are super busy this time of year, so might take just a bit to get a response.  Good luck, I love my FAE and wouldn't ever be without it!

They have good customer service, are just slammed right now. To give you idea of retail pricing....FAE is $480, then you can add polished welds on outside for $40 and add internal baffle for another $40. On my SV244....the factory baffle stays, so I did not need that option. They say to keep the warranty, you should have a baffle, if warranty does not matter, a lot of people have not run a baffle and been ok since the angle makes it almost impossible for water to "rush" up the FAE. Good mod tho and makes the boat much quieter and reduces the exhaust greatly when surfing or moving....but of course at idle it will still drift up out of the water.

The pic you posted are "exhaust tips".....the FAE is bigger and directs the exhaust down into the prop wash so it does not come up until well past surf wave.

Thanks everyone,

I finally spoke with FAE and these are the options available. Has anyone had better luck with one specific design over the other? Any performance changes and/or surf quality issues?

Does the 226 have two exhaust ports? I thought they were single.  I have the last one pictured, I didn't notice any changes to wave.  I've seen on here that the single exhaust guys were having spray issues, but I think FAE made some design changes to resolve that.

Depends on the year  the older v226's came with dual exhaust up tell the beginning of 14. S 226 came out in 15 and all have single exhaust

I put one  in my 2012 v226. I loved it, although it did create some spray on my goof side when surfing. Full disclosing, never wakeboard so no idea what it does to that wave. Pretty sure I had the third setup pictured.  Good luck

Would these benefit from enlarging the down pipe and creating a sharp edge on the back side to cut through the water that much more? They seem a bit fat to me. Also maybe a larger angle out the back instead of the 90 down. They look to sit enough under water that an increase in angle shouldn't affect exhaust output coming up out of the water, especially since most here sink the hell out of the boat anyways.

Which style did you go with?

I went with picture 1 seen above. I originally wanted the 1-piece Y design because it was a clean look however, when Christine at FAE sent me the worksheet for measurements I said the hell with that. You can only be off by 1/8 inch and the time it would take me to get my trailer out of storage,  the boat out of the water, measure etc. I knew I would never do it. Plus, if you measure wrong, you're screwed. The second reason is that since I boat year round, looks don't really matter as long as it functions as designed.

I just got a quote for the same system...........it’s either an FAE setup or build another new stinger with a exhaust diffuser like the Ri’s.

I saw a Malibu facebook group buy on FAE going on with this code 'NEWYEAR18' for $75 off until January 12th.
