Hello All,  I'm considering an 05 Avy with switchblade.  Has anyone used SB?  Thoughts?  Opinions?  Never heard anything bad, just havent heard a big demand either.  05-06 have 2:1 trany, but trying to keep it light (3600lb lift), so 07+ is out.  Single biggest concern is surf wave. Actually its #1,#2, & #3.

Thx,

Mike

I have a SB on my SV230. Overall I love it. It can be a pain though. Can't trailer with it, so takes a few mins to put the blade on. Backing the boat can be a pain, because the SB acts as another rudder that you can't control. I've gotten use to it, just have to be ready for it. I have a port Enzo sack and with the SB, it puts out a massive wake. Without he SB on, I lose a ton of push and have to slow down, even with an Enzo sack.

Troy, is that the technical description?  Seriously though, are you not a fan?  Why?

Big fan of the switchblade. Wish I had one. Sorry for the confusion.

the SB acts the same as ballast correct? I've never seen one in person so don't really know the advantages of one. It also looks like they haven't been made in some time. Seems to mimic the power wedge from Malibu.

Similar to a wedge but different. The SB only has a few degrees of movement and doesn't fold away like the wedge. That means it has to be removed while on trailer.  Also, the SB is mounted on one singular vertical post and can turn like a rudder.

that is the full deflection of a SB.

I see Lamb80782 had the same remove the driver seat as I am having.
I didn't see the ulitmate solution.  I think removing "stop" would be the solution but am unable to see very well under the seat.  Has anyone come up with the solution?
I also am reoving to have re-uphostered.  Itried removing the black access cover but it is very tight under there and not enough room for a regular wrench.  May try a 1/4 rachet drive.

Good morning. I saw you talked about replacing the ram fill valves. I have a 2021 ri237 with a broken valve   It’s under warranty but dealer is going to be very slow to fix it.  Which wiring harness do I need to make sure I have  when I order off of Amazon.  Thank you scott

I see you have the Go Surf assist installed on your 2008 Enzo SV230. I am about to do the same thing on my 2007 Enzo SV240. Do you happen to have some photos of the install taken from the transom? And how did you notch out the spacers for the bump out in the swim platform bracket?
      Thanks
