You can certainly call NWBS and they'll probably give you a decent deal, but they probably won't recommend you buy a '17 from them- at least not until Sept, when the '18s start rolling.

I'd do some research on who your nearest dealer is. They're going to be the ones you're likely to interact with the most when it comes to warranty items.

To answer your question, with our state tax, you can expect to be in the mid to upper 80s including taxes, fees, licensing for a truly loaded 238. With an MSRP close to 90.

why would they sugest not buying a 17 ?18's dont come out tell end of july that's at the end of the season.you could go with a used 16 like this one if you want to save some cash https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/boa/6064541619.html

dealer territories on new boat sales. You can buy a '16 from anywhere. That used one is a nice listing.

I knew there were territories but I wasn't sure who covered what territories. :)

Territories aren't an issue as my local dealer lost his license to sell centurion and supreme. I purchased my S226 last year from Extreme Boat Sports in BC last year. Best price at the time.

Called motoplex Lynwood and before tax on one of theirs is $78.5

The used 2016 s238 on Craigslist here in Spokane I almost bought new. It sold new for $65k 2016 spring. crazy deals because dealer had to move the boats

Also, spoke with Pat about his used 2016 loaded s238 he has. He wants $75k for it which a little more I can go to 2017 with digital controls

It depends on what you want. I consider the one I just bought loaded but I did leave out some things that saved me some $$$. If you don't want the gator flooring or the tower speakers(I didn't), that saves about 4k. If you don't need all of the trailer upgrades that also saves a few k. If you can deal with 2 racks instead of 4, you probably save another 700 there. The engine upgrade is $750 which I think it s no brainer but it really depends on what you want based on your budget.

You got to talk to a dealer and spec out what you want and then maybe pull things you don't need. That's basically what I did. My needs and wants were based on my wife and kids too though. I don't know your situation. If I wasn't married with kids I may have chosen some different things.

Let us know how it works out!

Mike

I replied PM's. Looks like I'm going with Tony again as he treated me great on my last boat. Had to go up to Vancouver area today anyhow. Time to order a fully loaded S238!

Any aftermarket ballast suggestions? I'm going orange mattalic and I think black color scheme/or gray

Expensive route:

https://www.wakemakers.com/supreme-s238-bag-buster-kit.html

This will give you 700 in the lockers, and 200 under benches for a total of 900 on each side. The two bags on each side are connected with multiple 1" pipes.

Cheap route:

Sumo 850's in lockers

Sumo 250's under bench

These need to be plumbed in a certain way which will allow for filling and draining

Cheap but non-water weight

Sumo 850's in lockers

500 of lead distributed around.

All three of these options will roughly total the same amount of ballast weight. In addition to the above, I'd try and add another 200-300 pounds of strategically placed lead.
