I haven't really seen this mentioned here...but even if it has I think it is an important reminder.

 

 

Make sure you are filling your QF totally. If you fill them first then fill the ballast bags, you will leave a lot of QF unused because it does not sit totally below the water line. Also leave them open for two minutes or longer. You can feel the air rushing out of the overflow port when filling them. When it's close to full the air will stop, you will hear a gurgle and a little splash of water come out sometimes. If you fill the QF before the bags you could be leaving 100-200 lbs or more of capacity on the table.

What if you fill them both at the same time :) We usually rev up the RPM's in neutral higher than 1200 RPM's because the Jabsco's suck so many amps, you can here them work better as you rev up. We leave the quick fill's open until the bags are full, then go!

Haha, that will work too. And yea, that amperage draw is no joke!
