2008 V208 SKY

Just picked up a 208V SKY with only 73 hrs on it. Really like this boat just have a few questions some of you might be able to help me with. We have put around 12 hrs on it in the past three weeks everything seems to work like it should.It didn't have a bimini top with it does anyone have any suggestions for OEM or a good aftermarket top that goes nicely with this tower. The only problem i am having is the swim platform brackets keep breaking.I had them tig welded.This seems to be a common problem from back then. I have read on an old forum that the manufacturer would replace them with stainless brackets for free. I called them and they said they would sell me new ones that go on a newer boat for around 250$ a piece. But i would have to fill the bracket holes in the back of the boat and drill and tap new holes in the transom. I am more than capable of doing this but dang i hate drilling into a perfectly good boat. I have a fab shop making me some stainless brackets now. Its a bit disappointing I understand the company was sold in 2010 to finline. I'm sure thats part of the problem I'm going to have with anything for a boat pre 2010. I called them about manuals and they don't have them either they did email me a generic centuion manual. but nothing on the motor /trans/or Vdrive. This boat was a repo so very little came with the boat. My last boat was a older moomba and skiers choice was very good to deal with, actually had worn out swim platform bracket and was able to order those for a 10 year old boat. All in all we love this boat I think the family will enjoy it for many years to come.

Dont understand what your questions are. If you are looking for manuals ask fineline for 08'mercruiser manuals. Funny they said they dont have anything supreme was built by centurion In 08' at the Merced plant but owned by kal custom. The supreme is a simple boat so be specific with your questions lots of knowledgeable people here to answer them. Congrats on the boat and welcome to the crew.

Thanks fourfrogs. I was wondering if you have a spec sheet in the manual for oils and greases?

Also I need to adjust the neutral safety switch is it at the throttle handle or under the engine cover?

I will be contacting mercrusier, Walters,and velvet drive for manuals as soon as I get a chance. I talked to fineline yesterday and no luck on manuals or swim step bracket. They do offer a universal bracket but I would need to modify my boat more than I would like. Thanks for any info

I may have original bracket on the shelf, we had on break and had a new set sent from the factory the new design has never been a problem

If your v208 has perfect pass add the Stargazer gps box to the top of your to do list! We have our V212 dialed in! purchased after market surf device, I'm pretty sure our setup would work even better on you v208

I have someone making me some custom stainless brackets. Hopefully they will be done before this weekend. I do have perfect pass wakeboard pro its my first boat with perfect pass. I think i may have to send it in for repair the up button does not seem to work.I was looking at the stargazer system you mentioned correct me if I'm wrong but it lets your perfect pass set the speed off of gps. Thats definitly on my winter time upgrade list.which surf device did you buy? we don't surf yet but will be next year.

Best 450.00 addition to our Boat and yes gps a must for surfing without and surg in speed.

We also use the world of wake side suction cup mount and our wave is great.
