2016 S226 Surf Set Up

Whats everyone using? Goin out next weekend and looking for some pointers on whats working best. I have a extra 250lb up front under my bow filler cushion and and an extra 125lb on each side in the rear lockers. Plus the standard 2100lb that the boat comes with. Is listing still working best on the 2016's. Just looking for some ideas. Its my first Supreme.

Welcome and Congrats. We just picked up a 2016 this year. We love the way the boat handles the big chop...it's like hot knife slicing through butter. Anyways, I dont have a ton of info on setup, as were still getting to know the boat. You'll get a ton of suggestions so I'll keep an eye on your post.

Here's what I run!

REGULAR:

Center Tank FULL

Port Quickfill FULL

Port PnP Bag FULL (I run the upgraded bagbuster setup with under seat sackl)

200lbs lead in front

2-400lbs lead on Port side

Trim 10-25%

11.2-11.6mph

NO Counterweight other than peeps in boat

GOOFY:

Same settings just reverse on starboard side and run trim at 75-100%

NO Counterweight

That seems like a ton of weight but im sure the wave is amazing. Any suggestions when using the surf tabs or is it a waste of time?

My family likes the tabs because the boated is more evenly weighted. The wife and kiddos feel like we are going to flip over with the listed setup. Still experimenting but this is it so far...

 

GOOFY

 

200 lbs pop bags under the center bow cushion

center ballast full

400 lbs pop bags under stbd side seat

stbd 1100 lb v-drive sac 75% full (starts to bow in the engine divider if I fill it to the max)

stbd hard tank full

port hard tank full

port 1100 lb v-drive sac about 1/2 as full as the stbd side sac

center tab at 75%

surf tab down until it cleans up (about 3-4 one second clicks)

speed at 10.8

 

TONS OF PUSH!!!!

Same as above except reversed. Center tab at 25%. Speed at 11.2
