Hey everybody I'm the new guy. I'll give ya some info....Over the next months coming into next spring i hope purchase a wakeboat. I was very interested in the malibu ride series and know a good deal about malibu and their pricing. A guy i work with pushed me into centuion and from what i hear they are a great boat and lots of people say they will handle the big lake water a little better than most. This is a plus for me cuz midday weekends on my lake are rough and i will be just cruising around waitin for everything to calm to get another session in. I'm hoping to pick up a leftover but have no clue on the series and each model that they go with. I will be doing mostly wakeboarding with maybe a little surfing. Looking to spend about the same as a vride mabye a little less if i can get a good deal....so anyone with base model pricing would help a lot, so i know what i'm looking at.

powderki, If you are looking for the ride Centurion has it. We boat on Kentucky Lake and it gets rough. Centurion has 3 levels of wakeboats. The air warrior, Storm series and the Enzo. Each series gets a little wider with the Enzo being the biggest. I dont know the pricing of Malibu but centurion is usally less with the same equipment. I m a dealer and had the chance to get any line I wanted. Three main reasons I choose Centurion. Deep V for ride snap out carpet and Mercruiser motors. I do have a 07 Elite v I will sell at a great price and a 08 240 Enzo demo at close out. Please ride in rough water be for you buy there is no comperison. Im acually moving people out of Sea Rays into Centurion because of ride. As far as boarding good as anybodys as far as surfing the king.

Powderski -First off, welcome to the site. Now, enough of the formalities.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) let's get to the good stuff. If you are looking at the Ride series from Malibu I would suggest looking at an Elite V C4 AW from Centurion. It is just a bit longer than the V-Ride (Pre-09) and is the same width (Pre-09). It has an incredible ride and the wake is very impressive as well. I think you will find that the Centurion offers a superior ride that is second to none and that the fit and finish is right there with the other guys, but will cost you much less up front and down the road. Good luck with your search and make sure you take them all out for a demo. If the dealer doesn't do demos....do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Just my.02.

I had supra wake boat, and it would beat you to death in rough water. My wife wouldn't ride in it on busy days and we would have to take the pontoon boat. Now that we have a enzo, we have sold the pontoon. Without a doubt the best ride in a wake boat

Welcome Powderski! As and ex owner of Malibu and Mastercraft I can tell you that the centurion line is great for rough water. I currently have an 08 Avalanche C4 and I love it. I run at Jordan Lake and it can get rough. Go test drive them first and you will see. More on this later.

Demo drive all. Elite V is better for chop and close to the Vride, but we really wanted a WIDE boat. Check out the Falcon: not as deep V, but cheaper and wider.

A must on our list was snap out carpet. Friends with an older vRide have some carpet that is a bit moldy/beat up Everyone has different priorities. Good luck
