I have been trying to buy a 2008 Enzo SV230 but am getting frustrated. There are several dealers that have nice Enzo's but they have only basic two ballast tanks, the midship ones.
I really wanted Quad or Quad and Bow ballast both of which were options on the 2008 and 2009 as I understand it. I mostly surf and want to get a great wave with hidden ballast no sacks showing. Has anyone out there had a dealer that actually did a good job installing the additional rear and bow ballast at the dealer? I have had a very bad experience having a dealer butcher an additional ballast system on another brand so I am a little gun shy about it. I have turned down several good deals due to these options not being there. I am not a handy person regarding doing it myself so that's not an option. I plan to put in the Enzo sack on the Port side and use the mid and rear pumps to run it. I already have a custom sack coming from Fly High with two drain and fill lines and an extra tunami pump fitting to fill it quicker which needs the mid and rear pumps. I was hoping someone had a good experience having a dealer install these and was wondering what it ran. I have heard about $1,000 for the rear pumps and $500 for the bow. I have already heard of a dealer installing the extra ballast and now those sacks/tanks won't empty all the way probably due to improper installation of the check valves. Don't really want to buy a 2009 from the factory as I would like to save some money on a 2008. Thanks for your ideas. |

Where do you live? It may just depend on the dealer. I have seen some dealers that can do as good a job as the factory and others that have no idea what they area doing. List the dealer or dealers you are working with and I sure you will get some feedback from the Crew on them.

Don't know where you live, but my dealer here in Nashville has a beautiful 2008 white with black stealth graphic SV 230 that he'd love to move! I know that it has all the ballasts on it (not sure about mid, but I know the bow bag is there); it has the under transom/swim deck light and the powered wake plate, to name a few things. Here is a link (and tell them Pat sent ya! :-) )

I have been looking in Tennessee, Kentucky, Calif, and Oregon. Many of the boats I have seen have sideswipe and I don't want that feature. I much prefer fresh air exhaust and had one on my last boat.
I will try Xtreme Marine hopefully theirs doesn't have sideswipe. Has anyone used Osborn Inboard Transports before? Any stories about them good or bad? Thanks Packrat |

As far as the reason I want the quad or better ballast Solflower said it best;
"We have an 08 Centurion Enzo, bow ballast, starboard miship and rear ballast and an enzo sac on the port side. We flip 5 switches and wait 20 min and get pretty much the sickest wake i've seen. No sacs on the seat, no 300lb friends sitting on the back lockers, we get an amazing wake with just a spotter and driver:" This is why I am waiting for the right boat. |

It is very easy to install the sacks in place of the tanks and add the sacks up front.
I would do that myself but since you said you where not handy any dealer should be able to handle that. I have heard great things about the TN dealer. My St Louis dealer had one and would have been able to install that but they sold there 230 Take a look at this tread it show the replacement of the tanks in a Avalanche it is not the same boat but the procedure would be the same very easy http://www.centurioncrew.com/Avalanche-Sac-t385.html This post has been edited by Kevin Baugh: Sep 14 2008, 10:58 AM ![]() Fear is my Friend!

If you’re going to put in an Enzo sack why do you care if you have quad tanks?
Like Kevin says setting up ballast is easy. I saw the Extreme Marine white with black stealth Enzo on display at the World Wake Surf Championship. The guys at Extreme Martine were pretty cool. If you’re looking in Tennessee you might also want to speak with Nate at CBK. I bought my boat from Nate, I'd buy from Nate and CBK again. |

Packrat, the white 230 in Nashville doesn't have sideswipe (they have a 240 in black cherry with black ovation graphic that does). Ditto on BigShow's comments on Nate and the gang at CBK. Awesome dealer. Don't know what 230's he has at the moment.
