Has anybody replaced there PP Wakeboard Pro with the new GPS based Star Gazer? It cost $429 to upgrade and takes about half hour. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pardon.gif)

I thought the biggest improvements were to the slalom pull not so much to the wakeboard or surf. Do you ski?

Dont ski anymore. I am having a problem with going through rollers or chop and the boat starts surging and will never calm down. I have played around with the settings but can never get rid of the problem. The people at PP swore to me that with the star gazer setup this would be a thing of the past!!! I'm not sold on the star gazer, I need to hear from folks that have it first.
How long do you have to wait for it to aquire satellites? Does it have to re-aquire sats every time you shut the boat off, or does it have a seperate on/off Have you used it at a mountain lake where there may be signal inturuptions? ( Shuswap in BC Canada). I have it on my 09 Avalanche and I love it. It never really slips even with all the weight I have in my boat unless I have to make a turn, but then it's only increasing/decreasing 1 - 1.5 mph. It's nice and I definitely think it's worth the $$$$$$.
Zap - As far as waiting and acquiring goes, you'd never know the difference between the old and new. This post has been edited by Team CBK......Nate: Sep 7 2008, 07:08 PM ![]() www.cbkwatersports.com

I am getting mine installed over winter. I got mine for $399.00. We mostly wake board and wake surf and always after a storm the mucky muck rises from the bottom and sometimes clogs the paddle wheel. Pain in the @$$ stopping the boat, swimming under the boat and pull out a small leaf or pine straw or some other kind of crap and then get back in and resume the fun, drinking and looking at big tits!

I am ordering from my dealer. He gave me a great price. But you can look online for other dealers too. Try Ebay.
