I have an 05 C4 Lightening w/Sony Xplode stereo, I put a burned CD in it yesterday and it spit the disk out and required me to reset the system. After attempting to reset the system it still won't except CD's. I can hear the CD motor that excepts and ejects disks but it won't recieve a disk since this initially happened. Anyone experience this before or have any suggestions as to why it won't reset properly?

Is it all CD's now that it rejects or just the burnt disks?

Do yourself a favor and go buy a new stereo with an AUX input. They pretty much all have them now and are cheap. Plugging in the IPOD and having your entire music library avaialble is nice and better then fumbling around with a bunch of CDs. Just my $0.02. Regarding your problem, sorry I don't really know but I'm having the same issue with my car stereo so I'm interested in seeing where this goes.

Is it all CD's now that it rejects or just the burnt disks? Yes it does it on all CD's now. BCollins I agree the ipod is the way to go and plan on stereo and tower speakers being one of my winter projects. I'm hoping for a remedy to this reset problem for the short haul. Thanks! ![]() "A man may fall many times in life but is only a failure when he refuses to get up"

Try cutting all power to the deck for an hour or so. You should have 1 constant power, 1 switched power and 1 ground, disconnect these wires. Hopefully this will 'reboot' your deck.
If this doesn't work then your deck is either cooked or needs a good cleaning. Other than that I am out of tricks. |
