"Saturday, May 10th was a spectacular day to be on Sylvan Lake in Rome City, Indiana. For days the weather had been cold and gloomy with nothing to look forward to outdoors, but that was not the case for the “Crush the Ice for Life” event. The morning started off early with the boats dropped in the water around 8 am. We knew it was going to be a good day as the sun was shining bright with not a ripple on the water.

The event consisted of loads people in some of the finest wakeboard boats on the market. But it was clear, the Centurion Enzo SV230 was the main attraction with riders and on-lookers calling it the Harley Davidson of boats. Adam Wensink, along with Andrew Shear, killed it for the crowd. More than 20 riders were able to learn a thing or two from the positive coaching environment, both on and off of the water.

Riding lasted all day until dark with a lunch break provided by Applebee’s, which everyone seemed to devoir in a half hour. But while some were out riding, the fans and other participants had plenty to do on shore. We had tons of raffled items and booths were set up displaying all of the sponsors and there products. The crowd was also treated to the beats of brothers Octane and Unknown during a live performance on the water’s edge.

$3,500 was raised for the American Cancer Society, which is pretty great for a single event. All we have in this world is each other and it is so nice to see and meet people who care so deeply. Thanks again to everyone involved with this year’s Ice Breaker and all your support for the Ride for Cancer Tour. See you at the next event."
