Hey everyone, I have an 04T5Comp and am looking to redo the audio system in it. In the bow, there aren't any speakers and I'd love to put two up there. I'm thinking beneath the seats, on each side of the walkway. which would requring cutting new holes through the composite. And don't feel too comfortable drilling holes in my baby...but really no other place. Has anyone done this before or anything like it? I'm looking to put two 5-1/4's up there. Any advice or .02? Thanks,
Kramer

Hey Kramer,

Can you post some pics of the bow area? I have seen people make small boxes for 5-1/4" and 6-1/2" speakers wrap them in vinyl and mount them in a covey.

Here are some pics...the walkway has composite underneath the carpet on the sides...not sure how thick. The seat wrapped around the bow is all one piece. Which makes me think, if I cut at all, maybe cutting the sides of the walkway would be best? The second pic is some more of the walkway. The third is a crappy shot, sorry, of the inside walkway, under the right seat cushion. The composite felt to be maybe 1/2in. thick with carpeting on both the inside and outside. More I think about it I like the box idea Doc...haha

Hmmmm...didn't realize that the seats wrapped all the way around, going through the side is most likely going to be the best way to go.
